What should I know about Nea Fokea?

Nea Fokaia is located at a distance of 78 kilometers from Thessaloniki airport. Nea Fokaia is a small fishing village with everything you want and love in a Greek seaside place!

It has a small, picturesque port, where fishing boats and sailing boats come and go, with a beautiful view from the waterfront. It has an impressive, sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. Nea Fokaia was founded by refugees from Asia Minor after the Asia Minor catastrophe, while the wider area has been inhabited since prehistoric times. At the port of the village dominates a 17-meter-high Byzantine tower that belonged to a metochi of the monastery of Agios Pavlos and was, during the revolution of 1821, the headquarters of the leader of the revolution in Halkidiki, Emmanuel Papas. The village festival takes place every summer on June 29 and 30 on the feast of the Apostles Peter and Paul.
