What should I know about Porto Carras?

Porto Koufo is located at a distance of 135 kilometers from Thessaloniki airport. It is the deepest and safest natural harbor in Greece. The beach is located directly opposite the port. In the village there are hotels and apartments for tourist accommodation. Porto Koufo is a small and quiet fishing village, an ideal destination if you are looking for rest and tranquility for your summer vacation!

The view from the southernmost tip of the peninsula, called “Kapros”, towards the harbor, will take your breath away. A good idea is to walk the new 4 km long path and enjoy it! A circular route that starts from the beach of the Porto Koufo settlement and after passing by the lagoon you will start to climb the hill from where you will be faced with the sky and the sea of Halkidiki. The route is considered excellent, with special natural beauty, visual escapes and interesting multi-level views.

Also worth seeing:
• A very impressive place is Kartalia, the southern cape of Sithonia. You can only get there by boat.
• The underground galleries, observatories and gun emplacements of the German conquerors of the Second World War, some of which are preserved in very good condition at the top of the hill.

The distance from Thessaloniki airport is 110 minutes and you can choose for your transport a type of vehicle such as a taxi or a minivan.
