What should I know about Nea Moudania?

Nea Moudania is located at the beginning of the Kassandra peninsula. They are only 51 km from “Macedonia” airport. Nea Moudania is the commercial, economic, cultural, educational, and not only, center of Halkidiki, as well as the largest city in population of the prefecture, with approximately 10,000 inhabitants.

Nea Moudania was created in 1922 by Asia Minor refugees from Moudania in the Propontis of Asia Minor. It is a place of great historical interest. Many ancient settlements have been discovered there, dating from the Hellenistic period.
